Nanzen-ji Temple Aqueduc (Suirokaku)

This is an aqueduct bridge on the Lake Biwa Canal, located within the grounds of Nanzen-ji Temple.
During its construction, the design was handled by Sakuro Tanabe, with careful consideration given to the landscape of the temple grounds.
This aqueduct is also a popular tourist spot, attracting many visitors.
You can also see the water flowing in the aqueduct above.
In this way, Kyoto offers a variety of architectural styles, from the Heian period to the modern architecture of the Meiji and Taisho eras.

The performance held at Senbon Enmado Injo-ji Temple in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City, is called Senbon Enmado Dai Nenbutsu Kyogen.
Unlike Kabuki, Kyogen features simple costumes and focuses on humor and dialogue.
Furthermore, Dai Nenbutsu Kyogen is a performing art that has been passed down using temples as its stage, and unlike classical Kyogen, it is characterized by all performers wearing masks.

Another form of Kindness

Many city buses in Kyoto are extremely crowded, including with foreign tourists, but recently I’ve seen several instances of local elderly people being offered seats by foreign travelers. Witnessing this type of kindness from tourists gave me a sense of relief. Thank you
